Marshall B. Front is Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Front Barnett Associates. Prior to founding FBA in 1994, Marshall was President of Stein Roe Investment Counsel where he served on several of its investment committees and, for over 26 years, managed a broad range of portfolios for individual and institutional clients. Marshall has an AB degree from Columbia College and MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He was a member of the Board of Visitors of Columbia College and general chairman of the Columbia College fund. Marshall is currently Board Vice Chair of the Field Museum and Chairman of its Endowment Investment Committee. He also serves as Trustee and Investment Committee Chair of WTTW, as Endowment Investment Committee adviser to Columbia College Chicago and the Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago, as Trustee of the Brain Research Foundation and a Life Trustee and member of the Finance Committee of the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Marshall was President of the Board of the Latin School from March 1992 to May 1998 where he is a Senior Trustee. He is also the recipient of an honorary PhD for public service from St. Xavier University (Chicago).
